This is one of the questions I hear most often, sometimes spoken out loud, sometimes quietly held inside.
Does energy healing really work?
I appreciate this question because it usually comes from a place of discernment rather than resistance. It’s curiosity mixed with uncertainty and a desire to feel better, while staying grounded and rational.
So I want to answer honestly, without persuasion, pressure, or exaggerated promises.
You don’t need blind belief for energy healing to have an effect.
Many people I work with describe themselves as practical, analytical, or not particularly spiritual. Some have tried other approaches before arriving here. Others are simply tired of pushing, fixing, or overthinking.
Scepticism is not a barrier, and it can be healthy. What matters more than belief is openness to experience, allowing your body and nervous system to respond naturally.
Energy healing supports the body’s natural ability to regulate and heal itself.
We are held together by subtle energetic systems that respond to internal and external environments. Fast-paced, stressful, or emotionally challenging experiences can overstimulate, deplete, or block these systems.
During a session, a calm, coherent energetic field is created. This allows the nervous system to soften, the body to settle, and awareness to move inward. From this state, the system begins to reorganise itself naturally.
Nothing is forced. Nothing is imposed.
The healer does not “send” healing. Instead, they hold presence and attention, allowing the person receiving the session to access their own self-healing intelligence.
Responses vary. Some notice physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, heaviness, or lightness. Others experience emotional release, clarity, or deep rest. Some gain insights or clarity on next steps. Others feel subtle changes that emerge over days.
Common experiences include:
Each session is different. I encourage clients to set expectations aside and focus on how they feel afterwards.
Energy healing may not fit neatly into conventional medical frameworks, but that doesn’t mean experiences are imagined. Practices that support relaxation, coherence, and nervous system regulation have well-documented benefits.
Energy-based healing has existed for thousands of years in various forms, including acupuncture, acupressure, Reiki, and other traditional systems.
Energy healing doesn’t require belief. It invites you to notice what happens when your body slows down, feels supported, and comes back into balance. The most meaningful evidence is experiential.
I’ve been practising energy healing for over eight years and have supported many people. Each year deepens my fascination. I am always learning, and my life has changed profoundly because of this work.
If you’re wondering whether energy healing works, it may be less about finding an answer and more about noticing what your body asks for.
Sometimes, the most honest next step is simply curiosity.
