My definition of energy healing is simple, but it covers a lot.
Energy healing is holistic. It doesn’t focus on one symptom or one part of a person. It supports the whole being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
At its heart, healing is the transference of harmonising energies through the hands and the heart chakra. Every living being is maintained by these energies, and they can be shared either in person or at a distance.
In this blog, I want to share in a grounded way what energy healing actually is, how I came to work with it, and what it might mean for you.
Like many people who find their way to this work, I didn’t set out to become an energy healer.
From a young age, I was navigating a lot of challenges across different areas of life. Life often felt like a rollercoaster with periods of pressure and heaviness followed by moments of relief. I felt sensitive, easily overwhelmed, and unsure where to begin or how to change things.
When I first experienced energy healing, what surprised me most wasn’t anything dramatic, it was the subtlety. A feeling of being more in my body. A sense of space opening in my chest. A calm that felt familiar, almost like coming home.
Not all shifts were quiet. At times, the work brought emotional release and tears — the kind that feel like a great relief. The changes I was experiencing were fascinating to me, and in 2017 I began learning and practising energy healing. What started as curiosity slowly deepened into committed study and daily practice.
Before that, meditation was my way in. I spent years exploring stillness and awareness through meditation, not realising at the time that I was already learning to tune into energy, connect with my intuition, and open the channels for what was to come.
Over time, these threads naturally came together and grew into the work I now offer through Intuitive Earth.
At its simplest, energy healing is a gentle practice that works with the body’s natural energetic system to support balance, awareness, and self-regulation.
Everything is made of energy, and this includes our bodies. Our thoughts, emotions, experiences, and environments all influence how that energy flows. Stress, emotional overwhelm, trauma, unhealthy environments, and constant busyness can create areas of stagnation or depletion within the system.
Energy healing creates the conditions for your system to return to balance in its own time. This is an important distinction: the healer does not do the healing. Instead, the healer creates a safe, supportive energetic environment that allows the person receiving the session to activate their own self-healing capacity. In this way, the healer serves as a medium rather than a fixer.
This is why I often invite clients to set an intention at the beginning of a session “to receive the healing that is most needed in that moment”. This honours free will, personal agency, and what feels karmically aligned for each individual.
Many people describe energy healing as a feeling of being:
These shifts can be very noticeable for some and subtle for others, but they are often deeply meaningful.
There are a lot of misconceptions around energy work, so I think it’s important to be clear.
Energy healing is not:
In my work, you are always an active participant. Your body and system lead the process, and I simply support and facilitate.
The name Intuitive Earth reflects how I experience healing.
For me, intuition isn’t something abstract or distant. It’s something embodied and practical. It lives in the body, in sensation and in quiet inner knowing.
And the earth reminds us of nourishment, steadiness, and support. Healing doesn’t need to be dramatic to be real. Often, it’s slow, gentle, and deeply rooted.
This is the energy I bring into my sessions: calm, grounded, and respectful of where you are.
Energy healing isn’t about believing in anything specific. You don’t need to consider yourself spiritual. You don’t need to understand how it works.
What helps most is curiosity and a willingness to listen to your own experience.
Some people come to energy healing because they feel emotionally stuck. Others because they are overwhelmed, sensitive, or disconnected from their body. Some simply feel a quiet nudge that something needs attention.
All of these reasons are valid.
If you are reading this and feeling a sense of recognition, even a small one, you are very welcome here.
You can explore the rest of this blog, learn more about how energy healing works, or simply sit with what’s come up for you while reading.
And if at some point you feel called to experience a session for yourself, I’ll be here.
Healing doesn’t begin when something is wrong. Often, it begins when we slow down enough to listen.
